ENGEL at Plast Imagen : Mexico, 8th – 11th March 2016

Techspan New Zealand reports, ENGEL at Plastimagen 2016: Austrian Pavilion, stand 405:

Set out to reach new horizons in quality and efficiency – that’s ENGEL’s focus at Plastimagen 2016 from March 8th to 11th in Mexico City. ENGEL presents this theme from two perspectives: both innovative processing technologies and Industry 4.0 open up new possibilities for injection moulding processors to boost their productivity, quality and flexibility in their fabrication and thus consistently reduce unit costs.

ENGEL e-motion 440/160 T and in-mould labelling
More flexibility in packaging production: an ENGEL e-motion 440/160 is producing 155 ml round containers with an integrated tamper-evident seal using a 4-cavity mould made by Otto Hofstetter (Uznach, Switzerland). The cycle time here is well below three seconds. Thanks to in-mould labelling, the manufacturing cell produces ready-to-fill packaging. The IML automation comes from Beck Automation (Oberengstringen, Switzerland). You can see the new Beck-Flex system, which produces small batch sizes economically, in action for the first time at ENGEL’s stand in Mexico.

Flexible layout and compact dimensions: the ingenious machine design of this production cell is ideal for the manufacture of large-volume packaging parts and demanding components for the automotive industry. Two process technologies are combined in this compact, particularly efficient and reliable two-platen machine: using ENGEL foammelt and ENGEL variomelt, automobile parts with high-quality surfaces and an excellent replication of fine structures are being manufactured in a mould by Roctool (Le Bourget du Lac, France).

ENGEL foammelt (MuCell®) – precise lightweight components made of microfoam structures

ENGEL variomelt – optimised surfaces thanks to controlled temperature variation

inject 4.0 – solutions for a smart factory
