Down Syndrome Association

The Auckland Down Syndrome Association Inc (“ADSA”) is a family / whanau support organisation that provides information and support for people with Down syndrome and their families.  ADSA was established by parents in 1981. Today ADSA is still run by parents, grandparents and siblings.  ADSA employs a Community Liaison Officer and a Librarian who are available to assist members. 

Jump Start - the experience of being alive

Jump Start is a not-for-profit organization providing a unique skydive tandem experience for selected teenagers from CanTeen and Project K. CanTeen and Project K provide the context for Jump Start to be a generator for growth and confidence in young people. The premise of Jump Start is that the ‘experience of being alive’ transforms. 
Jump Start is run by one of the directors of Techspan Group, ( Tim Fastnedge ), who has been skydiving for more than 20 years. 

Westpac Rescue Helicopter

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter service provides a dedicated 24-hour, seven day a week service. This service often makes a life or death difference for thousands of people. Westpac Rescue Helicopters are like a fully equipped intensive care unit in the sky. From a defibrillator for a premature baby to full life support systems, Westpac Rescue Helicopters are equipped to deal with any situation.
