Jade Trickey - Sales & Purchasing Manager
I Joined the Techspan family in November 2023.
My role is Sales & Purchasing.
I am responsible for selling a variety of Techspan products and also purchasing them from our trusted European suppliers.
I have worked in and around sales for the majority of my career. After studying Psychology for 3 years at the University of Waikato. You could say I can read people very well ;)
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Listening to music, I also love my sports. Being at the beach gives me a refreshing therapeutic reset. Admire travelling just need to do it more.
Tim Fastnedge - Director
Tim Fastnedge is a Director , electronic musician, and former skydiving champion based in Auckland.
He serves as a director and the marketing/sales leader at Techspan New Zealand, an industrial machinery and technology supplier.

He is best known for his long-standing leadership roles within the Techspan Group, an industrial technology supply company established in 1979

He serves as a Director and Sales & Marketing Director for Techspan’s operations across New Zealand and Australia.

He is highly regarded as an industry expert in ultrasonic cleaning equipment—specifically working with Germany’s Elma Ultrasonics line—as well as plastics processing machinery like ENGEL injection moulding systems.

Tim is a long-time skydiving enthusiast with over two decades in the sport. Served as the President of the New Zealand Parachute Federation (NZPF) from 2002 to 2007.

The Award:
The Paul Tissandier Diploma is an international distinction awarded by the FAI. It recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to aeronautics, astronautics, and air sports.
The Achievement:
He was honored for his extensive administrative and promotional services to New Zealand air sports. This included his work as the Operations Officer of the RNZAF Military Aviation Sports Club (Parachute Section) and his five-year tenure as President of the New Zealand Parachute Federation.

National Leadership & Strategy:
He represented the collective interests of all competitive and recreational sports skydivers across the country, managing the executive team tasked with promoting the progression of the sport.
High-Performance Infrastructure:
Fastnedge was heavily involved in organizing the NZPF’s annual National Skydiving Championships and establishing specialized Skills Training Camps. These camps brought international, world-class parachutists to New Zealand to train local athletes.
Safety & Regulatory Support:
He collaborated closely with aviation authorities, helping coordinate safety programs like the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)-sponsored “Canopy Safety & Handling” training camps.
Global Recognition:
His leadership during this era was a primary reason the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) honored him with the prestigious Paul Tissandier Diploma in 2007, recognizing his outstanding administrative service to New Zealand air sports. Tim was the first Skydiver in New Zealand to receive such an award.
On 1 January 2000, he organised and participated in the Millennium BASE Jump off the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Fastnedge secured the official approvals from Transit New Zealand for the event, which went down in history as the first legal BASE jump in New Zealand. He was one of 10 Kiwi skydivers who made the approximately 120-foot (36-metre) leap into the new millennium over the Waitematā Harbour. The jump was recorded by Millennium Broadcasters, which saw this jump viewed around the globe.
Jon Fastnedge - Director
I have been with the company since 1992. I am the financial director for Techspan Group and the Managing Director for Techspan Industrial Printing Systems Limited (TIPS).
I am married to Bernadette. We have three children: Dominica, Rebeka and Isaac.
In my spare time, I can be found working outside on my lifestyle block, located out the back of Henderson Valley.
On the farm, we run sheep, horses, goats and chickens and share the farm with many domestic pets.
Dave Fastnedge - Director
I’ve been with Techspan Group since time began !
I studied architectural draughting, electrical engineering, and business management.
I previously worked as an architectural draughtsman, insurance underwriter, and broker.
Lived in Perth, Western Australia for a few years, now based in Auckland, New Zealand. Very happily married to Maria. We have 2 adult children and 6 grandchildren !
I‘m absolutely passionate about our business, dedicated to the success of Techspan Group – to be the leading supplier of our 5 core products. A firm believer in the power of positive thinking, and very proud of our winning team, who work exceptionally hard to give very high quality service to our customers !
My interests include DIY, aviation, boating, good food, wine, and travel.
Bernadette Fastnedge - PA (Jon Fastnedge)
I have been married to Jon Fastnedge for 25 years. We have three children together.
We live on a lifestyle block in the foothills of the Waitakeres, which we share with our children and various animals.
I worked for many years as a legal PA and I now work a couple of days a week at Techspan. The other days of the week I enjoy working on my photography business.
Isaac Fastnedge - Accounts Manager
I joined the company in 2019.
At Techspan I am the Accounts Manager
My interests include Martial Arts, Dungeons & Dragons and spending time with family.
Joy Mati - Customer Service & Orders

I started with the company in September 2020.
I’m part of our Customer service Team, processing orders and other administrative duties.
New Zealand-born Samoan, lived, schooled and worked locally in west Auckland all my life.
My interests, I love Lockdowns!! Painting, especially kids birthday banners. Crafty things, reading, listening to Music & hanging out with my cousins at the Coffee Club or the Movies.
Darryl Smith - Technical Service Manager
I originally started with Techspan in 1994 and left briefly in 1998 only to return later that same year.
My role with Techspan is as the company service manager.
I have 4 daughters ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old.
I’m a keen motorcyclist and my current pride and joy is a Ducati 848 superbike.
My interests include family life, motorcycles and motorcycle racing, music, travelling, good food and red wine, running and general fitness, DIY
Ayman Aldarabie - Technical Service
I started with the company in March 2021 as a Technical Service Engineer.
I finish my BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering overseas and studied Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering Level 7 in New Zealand.
I had work experience for several years as Mechanical Design Engineering and Electrical Service Technician. These skills help me to carry out maintenance, testing, commissioning for ENGEL machines and other Techspan supplied products.
I was born in Amman, Jordan in 1992 and have lived in New Zeeland for the last two years .
My interests include travelling, hiking, karate, swimming, music and social gathering.
